I call this a masterpiece not because I think it’s great, but because I believe it to be an actual masterpiece, as in a full display of my skills in digital art. There are a number of skills I put into use here:

• Perspective drawing
• Character design
• Facial expressions
• Visual storytelling
• Scene building
• Stylisation

Doesn’t sound like much but I’ve worked at studying each of these things in separate pieces to hone my skill, and now I felt like bringing it all together. I’m very, very pleased with the result. And I should be, since I’ve never spent this much time on one piece. Expect me to be studying new things in the future. I haven’t exactly closed the book on facial expressions and perspective though.
