Decided to update Jolene’s design. Not a complete overhaul like before. A few things I didn’t quite like were the hairstyle and the fact that the outfit felt kind of bland. I mean, someone might realistically wear that, but I think it makes sense to get a little more out of pocket for fictional settings. Not that this is really out of pocket.

I wanted Jolene to be a bit goth, but not exactly goth because this is a different universe and a different time period (didn’t really make any definitive choices in the last drawing). In the interest of making the design stand out, I opted to take inspiration from some pastel goth outfits. Never realised how cool they actually look, however silly they’d look like wearing that in public. But that’s the perfect kind of stuff for fictional characters.
