An Inventor’s Dilemma

So I like to try new things all of the time. Mainly things I see other artists do. This I specifically wanted to work with depth of field in my drawings much like Kuvshinov Ilya.

I basically searched Pinterest for senior photos and looked for a pose/scene that would work for me. What I planned to do was basically have a foreground, middle ground, and background and have the foreground and background out of focus. Since this scene is in a room, I couldn’t use leaves or snow (which would have been super easy and effective). Instead I had to go with the little dust particles that dance in the light and look beautiful even though in reality they’re disgusting. And I think it worked incredibly well!

So hats off, me, for making a high quality scene with dramatic lighting.
