The other day I was pretty excited to do some more art on FireAlpaca since I personally think it’s an amazing program. The only problem was that I didn’t have any idea of what to draw, a classic artist’s block.

Then I remembered one of my keys to bypassing artist’s block was to draw another person’s drawing in your own style. Which is great, I mean who doesn’t like to draw a character or fictional landscape or steampunk machine that they admire?

I always have in mind my favourite artists on Instagram and the one I visited was Omar Dogan @omardogan1976. I got to a few of his Overwatch drawings and I have NO CLUE how I got the idea, but I decided to draw a mash up of two Overwatch characters. Then I said to myself, let’s not be biased, I’m gonna do all of them!

So I put all of the characters in a list randomizer. There were 23, so I removed my least favourite hero, which was apparently Mei (I don’t remember why). Then I decided to make it an even 20 so I removed the only animalistic heroes (Roadhog and Winston) because animals aren’t my strong suit anyway. So I used the list randomizer to match up random heroes and one of the pairs was Ana and Mercy. The only reason this one was first was simply because my “AnaMercy” folder was first in alphabetical order.

So expect more of this! The next one on the list is Bastion and Lucio!
